It's that time of year again - welcome to TIFF07

It's that time of year again.

TIFF07 or what they call in the real world Toronto International Film Festival 2007 is looming down the highway and already the announcements of ticket sales and movie premieres and galas is setting the heart to palpitating overdrive.

Of course the anticipation now is nothing compares to those hectic days when the programme books and the final schedules are released late in August but for now scurry to get your packages and passes while you can because no one but no one wants to ever be back in those public lineups.

We have been at this festival year upon year and can remember when we were complaining that $9 for a ticket was high and $22 to see a gala at Roy Thomson Hall ! There were moments before that before the festival was imbued with the word "international" in it - and many memorable uproars including lining up at the University theatre to see Devil and the Flesh and trying to see Fat Girl at the Uptown. O that Catherine Breillat.

In the meantime the rest of the posts here are from last year's festival and some films in between. [ We have to rewrite some reviews that got lost in the translation including those great art flicks Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Transformers, Fantastic Four : Rise of the Silver Surfer and a revisit to Paris je t'aime.
